Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Roya Yoga ("Roya", "we", "us"). By creating an account or signing in, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. The service

Roya is a studio software product for yoga teachers — sequence building, soundtrack composing (including integrations with Spotify and, when available, Apple Music), live class control, scheduling, and rosters. We may update features at any time. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) to use Roya.
• You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account.
• Tell us promptly at hello@roya.yoga if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of every class plan, sequence, and note you create in Roya ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate the product for you and the studios you belong to. We don't claim ownership and we don't use Your Content to train models.

4. Music integrations

Roya integrates with third-party music services (currently Spotify; Apple Music planned). When you connect a music service:

• You agree to that service's own Terms — for Spotify, spotify.com/legal/end-user-agreement.
• Live playback through Roya requires a Spotify Premium account. Roya does not provide the music itself — Spotify does.
• Roya never copies, downloads, redistributes, or modifies audio. We only orchestrate playback using the official Spotify SDK.
• You can disconnect at any time from the Settings page or from spotify.com/account/apps.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Roya to break the law or infringe anyone's rights.
• Reverse-engineer the service or attempt to access data you're not authorized to access.
• Resell, redistribute, or relicense the service.
• Use Roya to download, copy, or redistribute audio from Spotify, Apple Music, or any music service.
• Use the service to send spam or malicious content.

6. Fees

While Roya is in beta, the service is provided free of charge. Once we begin charging, we'll give at least 30 days' notice in-product and you'll be able to cancel before any fee applies.

7. Disclaimer & liability

Roya is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost data. Our aggregate liability for any claim is capped at the greater of (a) fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 50.

8. Termination

You can close your account any time by emailing hello@roya.yoga. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk, with notice where reasonable. On termination, your data is deleted within 30 days unless we're legally required to retain it.

9. Changes to these Terms

We'll post material changes here and announce them in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Jefferson County, Kentucky.
